A quiet reading room for the Republic
Ramsairahulvilluri.online is an independent civic reading room dedicated to the Constitution of India — a living document adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1949 and brought into force on 26 January 1950. The site brings together the text of the Constitution — its Preamble, Parts, Schedules and Articles — alongside a curated selection of public commentary from across social media.
The Constitution is the longest written constitution of any sovereign nation in the world. Beginning with 395 Articles and 8 Schedules, it has grown to more than 448 Articles and 12 Schedules, shaped by over 100 amendments and by the interpretive labour of the Supreme Court and High Courts.
This site is a work of study, not of authority. For the definitive text, please refer to publications of the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India.
